The Gem Inspiration and Journey
– What inspired you to create Gemology Cosmetics? Was there a specific moment or experience that sparked this journey?
Gemology was born from the combination of my passion for minerals and my professional experience in the cosmetics industry. After several years of research, our laboratory discovered a process for extracting trace elements from precious and semiprecious stones and incorporating them into skincare products. This breakthrough was the starting point for Gemology—a brand that combines mineral science with cosmetic innovation.
– How did your background in gemology and skincare come together to form this unique brand?
My career gave me strong expertise in cosmetics. I spent 10 years working for a multinational in the industry and then launched an American spa brand in France. However, my fascination with gemstones began in my youth. My grandfather, an antique dealer, gave me my first minerals and sparked this passion. By blending these two worlds, I created Gemology—a brand that draws from the mineral world to develop products using a new source of natural, highly effective ingredients for the skin.
– If you had to describe Gemology Cosmetics in three words, what would they be?
Science, minerals, beauty.
The power of gemstones
– How do different gemstones benefit the skin? Can you share some of the most powerful minerals you use and their effects? Which ones would give an uncompromising glow?
Precious stones are rich in trace elements essential for the skin. We rely on clinical tests and scientific studies. For example:
Iron, found in hematite and sapphire, stimulates collagen production even more than vitamin C and provides powerful anti-aging action.
Copper, extracted from malachite, has very strong antioxidant properties.
Magnesium, from peridot, reactivates cellular respiration and promotes regeneration.
Your Personal Rituals & Must-Haves
– What do beauty and well-being mean to you – beyond skin care?
Beauty and well-being go far beyond products—they are about creating balance between the body and the mind. That includes a healthy lifestyle, good nutrition, regular physical activity, and above all, a calm and positive relationship with oneself.
– Do you have a self-care ritual (crystals included, obviously) that keeps you feeling balanced and radiant?
Yes, my routine includes the use of crystals for their soothing and energizing properties. I also place great importance on meditation, which helps me stay centered and maintain harmonious energy on a daily basis.
– If you could only use one Gemology product for the rest of your life (we know, it’s a tough one), which one would it be?
I would choose, without hesitation, the Amethyst Firming Face Concentrate . It’s a firming treatment enriched with amethyst that improves the skin’s elasticity and restores radiance and tone.
Or: the Gemology Foam Cleanser. It’s a cleanser whose creamy foam transforms into a silky cream when applied to the skin. It deeply cleanses, removes makeup, and fights skin imperfections. It’s a universal product, and we know that proper cleansing is an essential step for healthy skin.

– How does Gemology Cosmetics ensure the ethical origin of its gemstones?
We work only with suppliers who meet strict standards for responsible extraction. Each stone is carefully selected to ensure traceability and ethics. This is a core value of our brand.
– Sustainability is a growing concern in beauty—how does your brand align with eco-conscious skincare?
Sustainability has been central to our approach for years—without greenwashing, and it goes step by step. We limit our use of paper, use plastics derived from sugarcane, and are developing refillable products. We reduce our environmental footprint as much as possible.
The Future
– What exciting innovations or new products are coming up for Gemology Cosmetics?
We constantly screen the effects of new minerals. After discovering the fascinating properties of blue amber, which we introduced in our organic range, we are currently working on a new stone with a unique composition. It is similar to a recent scientific discovery that won a Nobel Prize. But I can't say more just yet. Innovation is constant at Gemology.
– How do you see the future of crystal-infused skincare evolving in the beauty industry?
I believe this trend will only grow stronger. More and more cosmetic brands are showing interest in this new source of natural ingredients, and consumers are already well aware of the benefits of trace elements—thanks to the success of nutritional supplements. We’re just at the beginning of mineral-based cosmetics, and Gemology is leading the way in this field.
– If you could give one piece of advice to someone looking to create a brand that merges nature, science, and beauty, what would it be?
Build your project on solid scientific foundations, stay true to your values, and be attentive to the real needs of consumers. The alliance between nature, science, and beauty is powerful—when it's authentic and well thought out.
