In a world that demands a lot of us every day, time outs are not just luxuries, but necessities. Small rituals and conscious moments of relaxation give us space to breathe and help us to refocus our energy. At Sojourn, we believe in the transformative power of these rituals - short, targeted time outs that enrich your everyday life and strengthen your well-being in the long term.

We have divided our rituals into three categories, which we call Calm Your Mind, Nourish Your Soul and Burst Your Energy. These concepts help you to find exactly the right type of self-care for your needs. What we are presenting here is just an initial selection of ideas - simple rituals that can easily be integrated into everyday life. Take a few minutes to do this - we recommend between 3 and 6 minutes. Maybe you will get a taste for it and regularly incorporate rituals that are good for you into your everyday life.

Calm Your Mind for peace and balance in the moment

When life gets hectic and the mind becomes restless, it is often the little things that bring us back to ourselves. Our "Calm Your Mind" rituals are designed to help you find peace and organize your thoughts.

  • 6-minute journal : Write down your worries and imagine them being washed away by an aquamarine river. It's best to use a blue pen for this. Writing down your thoughts brings them out into the open, giving you a different perspective and perhaps new insights.
  • 6-minute dance mudra : Fold your hands in front of your heart and swing gently back and forth. The light, rhythmic movement releases tension in the body and mind.
  • Heartfelt compliments : Make others happy with an honest compliment and feel how compassion and warmth fill your heart. Start the day with an honest compliment to yourself in the mirror - you will see how much strength you take with you into everyday life. Rose quartz is said to have exactly these properties that lead to heartfelt connections.

Nourish Your Soul for your inner center

Sometimes we need moments of grounding to reconnect with ourselves and nature. The Nourish Your Soul rituals help you find stability and inner balance.

  • The grounding exercise is one of our favorite rituals: standing barefoot on the earth and feeling the connection to nature. Notice how your feet feel and how the energy moves upwards in your body. This exercise gives you strength and confidence. One gemstone that is said to have these properties is black tourmaline.
  • 6-minute visualization meditation : Close your eyes and imagine a calm, silver-colored lake on which you are floating, relaxed. Use all of your senses to perceive how this lake feels. This will allow you to briefly take yourself out of your everyday life.
  • Mudra of reflection : Gently place your hands together, close your eyes and look inward. All thoughts that come pass by like in a film and allow you to calm down.

Burst Your Energy for more energy and joy of life

There are days when we need a burst of energy - something to rejuvenate us. Our Burst Your Energy rituals are designed to boost your vitality and recharge your batteries.

  • Upward Salute Pose : Stand upright with your feet firmly on the ground and raise your arms up as you inhale. Your palms are facing each other and your gaze is directed upwards. Hold the position for 3-5 breaths before lowering your arms as you exhale and repeat for a few minutes. Feel the energy flowing through your body and let this fresh strength flow through you.
  • Short break in nature : Take a short walk and discover five green treasures in nature. Refresh yourself with the vitalizing power of the color green. A suitable gemstone for such an energy boost is aventurine or emerald.
  • Thank you box : Write down positive moments and small successes on small pieces of paper. Collect them in a jar and take one out every now and then when you need a boost of energy, inspiration or encouragement.
